Icons to Innovators is a major collaboration between SHOWstudio and Gray M.C.A, bringing together seminal works by some of fashion illustration’s most influential figures alongside a new generation of image-makers. Featuring iconic original works by David Downton, Antonio Lopez, René Gruau, and Gladys Perint Palmer, together with leading contemporary artists from SHOWstudio’s creative community, the exhibition traces the evolution of fashion illustration from its golden age to the present day. Celebrating its enduring impact on fashion, image-making, and visual culture, Icons to Innovators explores how the art form continues to shape the way fashion is seen, interpreted, and desired across generations, making this an exhibition that celebrates the past, present, and future of fashion illustration.
