Gray M.C.A has opened an exhibition on 20th-century textiles. Showcasing a collection of rare and limited-edition works by the likes of Pablo Picasso, Alexander Calder, Henry Moore, Barbara Hepworth, Elisabeth Frink and Patrick Heron, the exhibition celebrates the use of silk, rayon, woven wool, linen and cotton which provided a new medium for modern artists. Look out for the vast 1949 Ascher screen print on linen of ‘Two Standing Figures’ by Henry Moore; Ben Nicholson’s 1937 Vertical’; and Patrick Heron’s Nude’ silk scarf.
